In this forum we’re keen to hear about your experiences of different kinds of virtual technologies and their applications; your ideas as to how to foster more virtual communications within the research – policy community; any info on research projects that are actually trying to look at the whole sustainable—research-collaboration issue and assess progress in this regard; and suggestions of organisations/individuals who might be interested in helping us develop our ideas further in this area.

There is a growing number of FCRN members based in Africa, working on a very diverse range of issues. We’re keen to build up our African membership and to stimulate more collaboration on food systems and climate change (ideally going beyond agriculture). We thought it might be helpful to provide a forum where you can connect with each other, say what you’re working on, share resources, and tell people about Africa-relevant events that are coming up.

There is rapidly growing interest in the concept of ‘sustainable healthy diets’ – on what it is and how it might be achieved. Many FCRN members are already working on this subject and the aim for this forum is to link you up, and get you talking to and collaborating with each other. We have suggested a structured set of questions for discussion to get you started … but please feel free to add your own.
