Senior Research Fellow research at CCRI (Countryside and Community Research Institute) on agricultural resilience

The University of Gloucestershire is seeking to appoint an experienced researcher to develop its capacity and uphold its reputation for excellence in the general area of agriculture, food and rural development, with a strong preference to recruit someone with excellent qualitative skills and a working knowledge of quantitative methods (statistical and econometrics). Initially, about 60% of the post holder’s time will be dedicated to a new Horizon 2020 research project entitled ‘Towards Sustainable and Resilient EU Farming Systems’ (SURE-Farm), which will run from 1st June 2017 to May 2021. A key role for the post holder will be to lead the design and analysis of participatory workshops, producer and stakeholder interviews and focus groups in UK and at EU level, and to make a substantive contribution to critical analysis and evaluation of overall project findings. Capacity to participate in and contribute to quantitative research is also highly desirable.
