FCRN members Christian Reynolds, Sarah Bridle and Ximena Schmidt are among the guest editors of a special issue of the journal Sustainability on the topic “Healthy sustainable diets”.
The special issue aims to answer the following questions:
What dietary patterns would contribute to fewer greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental impacts (including food and plastics waste), and are these necessarily healthier, closer to recommended healthy diets, or more affordable?
How do the multiple environmental, health, societal, economic, and cultural aims of sustainable healthy eating patterns and diets support or conflict with one another? How are food system power dynamics shifted in the move towards healthy sustainable diets?
For more details, see here. The call for abstracts is open until 31 October 2019.
