Job: Strategic Coordinator, Table, University of Oxford, UK
The University of Oxford, Wageningen University & Research and the Swedish Agricultural University are in the process of establishing a collaborative international initiative, Table, whose focus will be to explore key contestations and debates around food.
The collaboration is looking to appoint a part time Strategic Coordinator to help establish Table as a known, respected and internationally-relevant initiative with a clearly communicated purpose; to coordinate activities among the three participating institutions and to help expand the partnership to four or more members. A priority will be to secure additional funding.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience. You will have an excellent and proven track record in securing external funding for research, including grant writing, budget management, and knowledge of the funding and grant making landscape as relevant to food. You will have demonstrable skills in networking and collaboration-building, with a good pre-existing list of contacts across the food system space. Senior management skills and a commitment to working collaboratively and non-hierarchically with a small team of motivated individuals are essential.
This is a fixed term, part-time (50% FTE) post for 12 months in the first instance. This may be offered as a secondment opportunity.
