Online course: How is Food Made? Understanding Processed Food

The first run of the free EIT Food online course ”How is Food Made? Understanding Processed Food” started on Monday 21 October 2019, and will be accessible up until mid-January 2020.

The course covers:

  • Principles of food processing, including both traditional and modern industrial techniques 
  • The debate on whether certain processing techniques are beneficial to human health 
  • The challenges of feeding growing populations safely and sustainably 
  • The importance of food processing to society in terms of health, safety, quality and sustainability 
  • EU food processing law and regulations
