Knowledge for better food systems


Uruguayan graphic designer Silvana Juri recently completed a Masters in Sustainable Design at the University of Brighton. Her interests include exploiting design-thinking to tackle societal and environmental issues linked to diets. Her work has been focused on harnessing collaboration and experimental participation to foster engagement and facilitate discussions around the need to shift towards sustainable food habits.

Afton Halloran is a GREEiNSECT and Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada doctoral fellow. Her research is a part of the ‘GREEiNSECT: Insects for Green Economy’ research project which is comprised of public and private institutions investigating how insects can be utilized for food and feed in Kenya.
