The Good Food Institute (US nonprofit) is hiring an Associate Director of Legislative Affairs to be responsible for managing GFI’s legislative initiatives/team and using state/federal legislation to remove hurdles and promote progress on alternative proteins. 

Candidates should have at least five years of legislative or lobbying experience, experience communicating effectively with both Republican and Democratic members of Congress and their staff, some experience of managing a team, and - ideally - a degree in policy or political science and an understanding of food regulation in the United States.
